Synopsis
‘La Ruta Morancos’ is the biggest TV adventure starring the brothers Jorge and César Cadaval, better known as ‘Los Morancos’. They will embark on one of the most special journeys of their lives towards Santiago de Compostela. During this journey, they will travel together through different towns in Spain to thank the people for the affection, warmth and recognition they have received during their 45-year career. They will also have a particular goal: to help César get in shape and lose weight. Throughout their journey, the Cadaval brothers will witness very moving personal stories, in which the generosity of the people of our country will be highlighted. They will live funny moments, with unique characters and unknown traditions in which they will get involved to the maximum. Thanks to this trip we will get to know the most intimate side of the brothers, witnessing the great complicity that unites them. Los Morancos will begin their tour in Seville, their hometown. Along their personal route, they will visit unique and exclusive places that have rarely been open to the public. They will explore different villages in Spain, where they will be the protagonists of unforgettable experiences: From a medieval meal in the castle of Almodóvar del Río (Córdoba) to a visit to an artisan loom that produces double-sided merino wool blankets in Bocairent (Valencia), to collecting honey in Hervás (Cáceres) and exploring the tunnels of the Real Sitio de San Ildefonso (Segovia) to activate one of its famous fountains, a unique experience in which the viewer will get to know this place as never seen before. They will also dance with the Carnival giants in Solsona (Lleida), cook baby squid in a Basque gastronomic society in Mutriku (Gipuzkoa), sail on a Viking ship in Catoira (Pontevedra) and make a queimada in Santiago (A Coruña). An adventure full of discoveries and unique moments. In each episode, ‘Los Morancos’ will mark the route with a plaque, thus leaving the footprint of ‘La Ruta Morancos’. Each programme ends with the improvisation on guitar of a new song with original lyrics dedicated to the people they have met during each stage of their journey and with a melody that promises to stay in the minds of the viewers forever. They will end the route at the official stop of the pilgrims: in the Obradoiro square in Santiago de Compostela, surrounded by the Galician people and with a bagpipe band with more than 40 musicians that will wrap up this golden closing with an emotional ending.
