- Like an album that tells a story, the Movistar Plus+ original series tackles three concepts that define every human life: health, money and love.
Movistar Plus+ premieres on 15 December ‘Alaska Revealed’, an original documentary series that shows a vision of the artist from a previously unknown perspective. Articulated as an album capable of telling a story, it reveals the metamorphosis of one of our great pop icons in a documentary series divided into three episodes: health, money and love.
The series is directed by Pite Piñas (‘Bosé Reborn’) and David Iñurrieta and produced in collaboration with Shine Iberia. The three episodes will be released weekly on the platform.
Olvido Gara is an intergenerational symbol who has constructed herself throughout her life in all periods and in all her facets: her body, her inner life, her professional career and her love life. Overexposed in the media, we think we know everything about her, but the reality is that Alaska is an extremely reserved person who has managed to protect her privacy, without losing coherence in her private life. Alaska Revealed’ puts the spotlight exclusively and for the first time on the essence of the artist.
Shot over four months in more than 30 locations between Madrid and Mexico, this documentary series features archive footage, the exclusive testimony of the singer and her most personal circle, including her mother América, her husband Mario Vaquerizo, Nacho Canut and Bibiana Fernández. Also taking part are figures of the stature of Pedro Almodóvar, Miguel Bosé and Raphael, close friends of the artist, as well as big names such as the National Photography Award-winning photographer Alberto García-Alix, Aitana, Ana Torroja, Topacio Fresh, Fabio McNamara and Fernando Márquez ‘El Zurzo’, friend and musician of Kaka de Luxe.
With a style that transcends fashions and eras, Alaska has been and continues to be present in the collective memory of our country. Her influence has crossed several generations. Always precocious in her thoughts and perfectly equanimous in her conflicts. Throughout the three episodes we will be able to understand who Alaska is, a person whose greatest aspiration continues to be to know herself and act accordingly.
With this new project, Movistar Plus+ continues its commitment to the non-fiction editorial line, with original products that show our stories from another point of view, such as ‘Bosé Reborn’, ‘Bisbal’, ‘Lola’ and ‘Raphaelismo’.
