- ‘Generación Porno’, ‘Bosé Renacido’ and Macarena Rey were awarded during the festival’s Closing Gala on a perfect night for Shine Iberia.
The XVI edition of FesTVal (Vitoria-Gasteiz Television Festival) has hosted between September 2 and 7, 2024 the main premieres of TV networks and platforms for the fall-winter season, including Shine Iberia’s productions ‘Alaska Revelada’, ‘Generación Click’ and ‘MasterChef Celebrity 9’. In addition, the festival has distinguished during its Closing Gala Macarena Rey with the Joan Ramon Mainat 2024 Award for her extensive professional career in television on a perfect night for Shine Iberia, as ‘Generation Porno’ and ‘Bosé Reborn’ have also been awarded.
‘Alaska Revelada’, a new Movistar Plus+ production in collaboration with Shine Iberia, was the first to be presented on September 3 at the 16th edition of FesTVal, one of the most prestigious television events in the country. The documentary reviews the most unknown moments of the life and career of Olvido Gara, better known as Alaska, through three key pillars: health, money and love.
Alaska has shined on the Orange Carpet of the Palacio de Congresos Europa, where Mario Vaquerizo, the CEO of Shine Iberia Macarena Rey and the director Pite Piñas have also been present. In this presentation, Alaska confessed: “I have said no many times to make a documentary about my life. I said yes to this project when I got the proposal when I saw that it is not a usual documentary. The way of telling it and his point of view won me over. Besides, the team and Movistar Plus+ gave me the confidence to say yes”.
On the other hand, ‘Generación Click’, the four-episode documentary series by Shine Iberia and EITB that explores the serious consequences that the abuse of cell phones and social networks causes in teenagers, was shown to the public this Thursday, September 5 at FesTVal, receiving a great reception.
The psychiatrist Josep María Fábregas and the specialist psychologist Maite Garaigordobil, two of the experts who provide their vision in ‘Generación Click’ -along with two of the families interviewed in the documentary- have been the protagonists of a presentation in which the abuse of screens and the influence on young people have been the common thread.
RTVE and Shine Iberia have also turned on the kitchens of ‘MasterChef Celebrity’ this Thursday, September 5, with the public presentation of its ninth installment by Pepe Rodríguez, Samantha Vallejo-Nágera and Jordi Cruz, once again the three members of the jury of the culinary talent. The three judges joked about the casting, but also highlighted the virtues of this ninth edition: “We have a lot of fun, hilarious tests and a lot of cooking,” said Samantha Vallejo-Nágera. “It’s a very nice edition in which we’ve had a great time,” recalled Pepe Rodríguez. “I have been sweetened, and that can only be achieved with a lot of effort and by making a good evolution,” said Jordi Cruz.
Cristina Cifuentes, Pitingo, Marina Rivers, Juan Luis Cano, Topacio Fresh, Raúl Gómez, Hiba Abouk, Pocholo Martínez-Bordiú, Itziar Miranda, Pelayo Díaz, Rubén Ochandiano, Nerea Garmendia, Jose Lamuño, Inés Hernand, Francis Lorenzo and María León are the contestants who will surprise in this new edition of ‘MasterChef Celebrity’.
