After the success of the first season, in which grandparents welcomed young people into their homes to be their grandchildren, a new version of this social experience arrives.
In January 2020, we opened five very Portuguese houses to all Portuguese and watched the interaction of several young people with their older (and so unlikely) friends. Tender bonds were created, comedic moments and some disagreements were lived, all based on the improbability of these friendships between generations.
In this new season we will see the improbable again. This time, age will not be the main differentiating factor between participants, but the social and cultural context. Ten young people will live at home with faces well known to the Portuguese, each from their area and each with a completely different context and background.
The goal is to bring worlds together, reflect on differences and conclude that different worlds are not opposite worlds.
What will each of these worlds have to teach the other? How can they live so differently in the same country?
In this second phase of the “Improbable Friends” social experience, we will take each young participant to live in a room and share a house with a face well known to the public and together they will live and share the day-to-day, learning from their differences and – who knows – finding similarities in the most important things in life. The young candidates are subjected to a series of interviews by our protagonists, who will have high and diverse standards of demand.
We will closely follow the banal moments of everyday life in this hiatus of personalities, which will be full of humor, antagonism, contrasts, challenges and friendship.
