They will even cook insects and finish a plating using a 3D printer
- And they will receive visits from celebrities such as Malu singer, ice skater Javier Fernández, actress and presenter Cayetana Guillen, El Monaguillo, the ‘sirena’ Ona Carbonell (winner of ‘MasterChef Celebrity 3’), Mario Vaquerizo, Santiago Segura and their editing partners
They are small, funny, naughty and have grown up watching ‘MasterChef’, that’s why they have more dexterity in the stoves than most adults. Sixteen children are about to start the adventure of ‘MasterChef Junior 6’, where they will learn the most important lessons of their lives from the hand of Pepe Rodríguez, Samantha Vallejo-Nágera and Jordi Cruz. The jury of culinary talent, produced by RTVE in collaboration with Shine Iberia, kicks off a season full of flavors, light, magic, emotions, races, laughter and much joy for this Christmas.
The lucky ones who will develop their creativity in the kitchens of the sixth season of ‘MasterChef Junior’ will enjoy incredible tests, fun, effort, camaraderie, excitement and a lot of cooking. In addition, the jury will continue to transmit valuable lessons such as caring for resources and the biosphere, responsible consumption of seasonal foods, having a healthy and balanced diet without forgetting the importance of sports. More than 8,000 small chefs, between 8 and 12 years old, signed up to participate in the sixth edition of ‘MasterChef Junior’, dreaming of stepping on the most famous kitchens of our country.
Each time they arrive smaller, more and more prepared and only the best 25 will have the option to show their talent before the jury in the last casting test that will take place on the set. At stake is the white apron that credits them as aspirants of this edition. The applicants will have a lot of tests to show that they have the necessary talent to be the new winner of ‘MasterChef Junior 6’, who will obtain the program’s trophy, a four-day cooking course taught by the Basque Culinary Center and a prize of 12,000 € to continue studying.

The aspirants of the sixth edition of ‘MasterChef Junior’ grew up watching ‘MasterChef’, the youngest were 2 years old when the program started its broadcasts in 2013, and it shows. They know the fashion chefs, they have eaten in restaurants with Michelin stars, they are aware of how to eat a healthy diet and they know everything about the judges and the details of their favorite program. Hence the self-confidence with which, from the first tests, move between the kitchens and face challenges. Among the candidates is a skater who has won several medals, a 10-year-old footballer who plays for a team from the lower categories of Atlético de Madrid, an actress with a broad ad curriculum and who prepares her leap to musical theater, a small 9-year-old scientist who builds his own robots, a malagueña who reads ‘Harry Potter’ in German.
In this season they will face tests that until now we had only seen in the amateur version, their older colleagues, and they will meet the challenges even better in some cases. They will fight in duels, they will take charge of the room service of the Westin Palace Hotel in Madrid or they will cook Michelin star recipes. Meeting the challenges will not always be easy and you will find additional difficulties like climbing a climbing wall to get the best cooking utensils or not being able to use refined sugar to prepare a tasty dessert.
In addition, new technologies reach MasterChef kitchens, in one of the programs the applicants will not enter the supermarket to make the purchase, as they will do it online through the El Corte Inglés supermarket app. In another, we will see them finish a plate with the help of a 3D printer. To the most applied the jury will reward them with amazing prizes: fly in Madrid Fly (the biggest wind tunnel in Europe), be a guest of honor in the derby between Atlético de Madrid and Real Madrid, travel to Los Angeles to know some animation studios or a masterclass in the MasterChef Restaurant that will end with a dinner for the whole family.
