• It reveals the serious consequences of mobile phone and social media abuse on teenagers: anxiety, depression, eating disorders, obsession with cosmetic surgery, school failure and even suicide.

The FesTVal in Vitoria-Gasteiz hosted the presentation of ‘Generación Click’, the new EITB documentary series produced by Shine Iberia, which shows the threats and challenges faced by young people when they connect to the Internet and offers solutions to prevent them from continuing to destroy their adolescence. The first of the four episodes of the series is already available on the PRIMERAN platform and will premiere on 11 September on ETB2.

After the success of ‘Generación Porno’, which analyses how the porn industry marks the sex lives of the new generations, ‘Generación Click’ explores, in an exhaustive way, the serious consequences caused by the abuse of mobile phones and social networks in teenagers: anxiety, depression, eating disorders, obsession with cosmetic surgery, addictions, gambling, aggression, insomnia, school failure and even suicide, which has become the main cause of death among young people.

In each episode, several interrelated topics will be dealt with, with testimonies from fathers, mothers and children, who will talk about their experiences in first person and openly. They will also talk to experts, such as psychologists, doctors and members of the State Security Forces and Corps who are working to put an end to these problems, as well as former addicts and victims.
