2026 arrives at ‘MasterChef’ with major new developments. After 13 years on air and 38 successful editions already broadcast, the culinary talent show produced by RTVE in collaboration with Shine Iberia (Banijay Iberia) begins a new chapter by adding content creator Marta Sanahuja, better known as Delicious Martha, to its judging panel. From now on, Pepe Rodríguez, Jordi Cruz and Delicious Martha — one of the most influential and highly regarded digital creators in Spain’s gastronomic universe — will be responsible for advising, tasting, evaluating and sharing their expertise with the contestants of ‘MasterChef 14’, which has now started filming.
Over the years, ‘MasterChef’ has delivered unique moments that have become part of Spanish television history. Looking ahead to its 14th edition, with a jury made up of Pepe, Jordi and Delicious Martha, the format enters a new era, further strengthening its connection with the digital world (the MasterChef community now exceeds five million followers online) and increasingly embracing new ways of enjoying gastronomy through social media.
Meanwhile, after more than a decade of success as a ‘MasterChef’ judge, businesswoman Samantha Vallejo-Nágera will embark on new audiovisual initiatives and projects related to gastronomy and lifestyle, while continuing with her hospitality businesses.
@DeliciousMartha: a foodie commitment, digital and accessible to everyone
Content creator Marta Sanahuja, better known as Delicious Martha (IG @deliciousmartha, 2 million followers), studied Advertising and Public Relations, although she decided to change direction in her life to bring together her two great passions: communication and gastronomy. This is how her blog Delicious Martha was born, a project that same year was consolidated with the Gold Blogger Award granted by Canal Cocina.
Self-taught in the kitchen and constantly in search of new flavors, recipes and ingredients, Marta is always pursuing new challenges to keep learning and growing. She states that, for her, “gastronomy brings people together and crosses borders. I strongly believe that food first enters through the eyes and must make you enjoy and live an experience in order to be truly good.”
Her homemade style is characterized by creating accessible, healthy, delicious and visually appealing recipes for all tastes, positioning her as one of the essential names in digital gastronomy in Spain. An ambassador for several food industry brands, she collaborates with various media outlets and creates content for different gastronomic platforms. In December 2025, she was awarded two Yummy Awards in the Dessert and Honorary Award categories.
The evolution of the ‘MasterChef’ brand: fine dining in prime time
‘MasterChef’ has established itself as one of the most influential gastronomic programs on Spanish television, enjoying the support of the national gastronomic sector, recognition from the most prestigious chefs, backing from the audiovisual industry and, above all, the affection of the audience. Beyond its enormous cultural impact, it has not only brought fine dining closer to the general public in La 1’s prime time, but has also championed the legacy of traditional recipes, highlighted the richness of Spanish raw ingredients and projected national gastronomy internationally. Proof of this is the many prestigious awards it has received, including two Ondas Awards, several Iris Awards from the Television Academy, the FesTVal Critics’ Award, three Zapping Awards for Best Entertainment Program and the National Gastronomy Award, among others.
More than 70% of contestants who participate in the culinary talent show end up professionally linked to the world of gastronomy. The digital sphere has also become one of the most successful career paths, as many have managed to position themselves successfully on social media. This is the case of nutritionist and communicator Marta Verona, winner of ‘MasterChef 6’, who promotes healthy lifestyle habits mainly on television and social networks; as well as María Lo, Ángela Gimeno and Gabriela Hinojosa, winners of editions 10, 12 and 12+1, who turn every recipe they share on their social media into viral content.
